Ways of Accessing Your Inspera Exams

There are a few ways you can access Inspera depending on the type of assessment you are taking.

Aula Module Assessments

For the majority of assessments, you will need to log in to your Aula module page and locate the Inspera assessment link.

These assessments links can be opened directly from your internet browser, e.g. Chrome, Firefox. You may still need to log in, but there will be no need to download additional software. Please watch the video below for more information.

On Campus Invigilated Exams

For on campus invigilated exams, you will be required to use either the university computer labs, or to bring your own device to take the Inspera exam. Depending on which method you are taking the exams, there will be different requirements of you. Both methods require the use of an additional piece of software called a Safe Exam Browser.

Safe Exam Browser is a web browser environment to carry out e-assessments safely. The software turns any computer temporarily into a secure workstation. It controls access to resources like system functions, other websites and applications and prevents unauthorized resources being used during an exam.

Computer Labs – if you are taking exams in a computer lab, the Safe Exam browser should be already installed. It will auto start and ask you for a password, which will be provided by the invigilator.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) – if you are required to bring your own device to use for the exam, you will need to install the Safe Exam Browser on your device, before the exam day. Please ensure your device meets the requirements below:
